A birthday piece from my bruv!

Waking up to a world that has you in it
And that, I’ve been blessed
with a life that took a path leading straight to you
Never been at peace as I am
since you became a part of my life
I will never forget all the bridges we crossed, the escapades to being the 'perfect man' with all the reputations to be sustained alongside ;the days of 3 square-maize meal, several days of 'semo' powder made pap without sugar...all the let downs, the tears, the hurts, people who turned renegade, the hates, beefs and the ones who believed in us and truly loved...several cosmic battles we fought side by side
We took the right path afterall
We crossed the right bridge,
Here we are ,full of Grace,
changing our world
our sheath always empty cos the sword is stuck to our hands, I'm not very sure kings ever felt this, not sure Zeus,Hercules and poseidon understood much
the best part is with you I can laugh,be serious, crazy, silly, raw and true...
With you I can be myself,I can confess a mess,a misbehavior and still trust,
You know me better than anyone
All my sides and all my moods
You are simply my best friend
Sometimes I wonder if you were not my mama's missing child, it's almost impossible living too long without you
A soldier, a model-husband and a crazy God lover,
the Luther, Nixon and Lincoln all run in your blood...an endangered specie...a man of sweet enduring GRACE.
God bless the womb which gave you birth,God bless the 15th day of every MAY, God bless the day She says 'yes I do',God bless the one who says 'yes I do'...
If I have to come another world,I will lose anything to have you as my twin!
Happy Birthday Oluwafemi Jedidiah Apesin!!

So Long, Dad....

Letter to my Dad

Dear Dad,

Been exactly 1 calendar year since you passed on.
Didn't know I was gonna miss you now that you are gone.
How times flies, but guess what? I ain't folorn.

Some peeps are angry ‘cos they wonder why I didn't cry at your graveside.
I forgive them; I guess they aren't aware we shared unique moments way before your passing by your bedside.
When you poured you heart out to me and trusted me well enough to confide.

Truth be told, then, I couldn't place my reason for the lack of tears.
Probably because over the years, I hardened myself while handling/facing my fears.
Or because I was angry at the brevity of life and the reality of mortality been near.

One year later, I can define why I didn't cry.
‘Twas simply because I was overjoyed, that you held on long enough to accept Christ so as to reign with Him in the sweet by and by.
For me that was/is a big deal 'cos you didn't die, all you did was; to another address fly.

Since you left, a lotta things have happened, wish you were here to witness them.
Yemisi is married, happy and guess what? Her man's name is also Michael (you must be smiling)
I hear you asking what about me? Well Tehilah is my Queen, she's everything and more you prayed for me to have in a soul mate.
My only regret is you won't be around to sit on the front row (in church) when I look into her eyes and say *I DO*

I recall you always asking “shey ise nlo dada? maa se jeje o” (Hope work is going fine, take it easy o)
Well Dad, work is great, though I got distracted a while ago due to office politicking and some detractors but guess what? After the crisis, I came out a better man and god vindicated me.
Also, Dad, God blessed me with a German Machine for my last birthday.
I get tempted to race other cars on the freeway, but I promise you to be responsible when I'm on the wheel.

Mum is doing great, I know she misses you, nevertheless she's holding up fine.
Ministry has been a lotta fun too, family members in PCU are simply awesome, wouldn't trade them for anything.
My Pastors have been awesome, helping me grow one phase at a time.
My love for books is so great now that I deliberately avoid walking into bookstores with cash or my debit card.
Funny enough, I still select books and go back to get my card to purchase...guess I'm an addict, a good one tho'.

Lately, my favorite disposition is the one I learnt from my Pastor, it’s called Prosuke...
Prosuke (in Greek means the picture of a man lying face down before God waiting for instructions)
Truth is I have learnt that when I navigate through the waters of life based on God's instructions, I am immune to calamities.

In summary, since you left, things have been great, Proverbs 4:18 has been a consistent reality.
Truth is, I know you have taken your seat amidst the cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1) watching my every move.
Please do me a favour, kindly tell King David to send me an email
I wanna learn the deep things he did that caused God to call him a man after His own heart.

So long Dad, wish you were here.

I know I told you before, but once again, I'm sorry I caused you heartache during those teenage years of mine.
But guess what, I'm doing well(there's room for more) and I know you are/woulda been proud of me.

I love you Dad, If Christ tarries, I'd see you in some 100 - 120 years’ time.

So long Dad,

Femi

PS:
I finally let go of the anger I developed when you didn't buy that bicycle years ago
But do talk to talk to an angel to inspire someone to sow the new Range Rover sports into my life, It costs just about $56,000.

I WILL ...............LORD

The blistering snow falling on me......
The gush of the wind on my body and in my face,
Swinging my body as i hang on to a branch that's about to crack.
Crack....Crack.....there goes the branch and it snaps

I plunge down and desperately reach out
For a branch, a rope , a twig anything to keep me
Alas i grasp another branch and hang on for my dear life

I am out of breath
As I am screaming for help
Wishing,Hoping & Praying
That the desire of my heart will be met

All of a sudden....a Voice
Not harsh & commanding
Nor cold & authoritative
But comforting & soothing says...

"DEAR SON..YOU CALLED"
yes Lord..save me i reply
DO YOU TRUST ME ? HE ASKS
You know, i always have i say...
LEAVE THE BRANCH HE SAYS

All of a sudden.....
I ignore the voice...
"Looking around for a more reasonable & logical option"
Forgetting that His ways are far above our ways
And that He'll never let the foot of the righteous to be moved.

Lord i just wanna say that....
For everything you tell me
I WILL.........
For every warning you give
I WILL.........
For everything you change
I WILL.........
For everything about everything.
I WILL.........

Just strengthen me to use the available GRACE....
Daddy you know I LOVE U
I won't trade nothing,nobody,no place for you.

I just want You to know that
I am willing to trust you all the way....

I WILL............. LORD.

WTG....In appreciation of you

Sweetheart,

This is a token of my appreciation of you….

      1.     Your love for God
Being sold out to God, it’s the best thing about you, you love God and you don’t hold back when showing Him.
My most favorite pictures of you are the ones with your beautiful hands lifted in adoration.
I am proud of how you seek to honor God in the decisions you take. It’s the most attractive thing about you!

      2.     Your Intelligence
I’m fully persuaded that even if you didn’t study Medicine & Surgery, you would have still been outstanding at whatever you choose/chose to do.
Your wit, depth and futuristic perspective all make you adorable every passing day. You also have this way of making me smile…remember *quack quack* *wink*

      3.     Your Beauty
You beauty is simply breathtaking, omo pupa o, omo pupa leemi fe…* hourglass lómo lati ile*
Also, the fact that you acknowledge that you have a responsibility in “maintaining” yourself adduces evidence to the fact that you are a total woman, spirit, soul & body.

                                                                      4.    Your Poise
Your poise, carriage and gait simply typifies what I call you ….Queen!
I was just scoping and admiring the graceful way you were walking down the aisles of Sheba centre, can’t wait to see you stroll gracefully down the aisle in your gorgeous white gown
……and also back up on my left arm

      5.     Your Words
With the Abigailic anointing you ooze every now and then, you speak to the King in me, I wanna take the world with you by my side.
Encouraging each other, I’m positive we’ll take the world for Jesus.

Alright, lemme stop now and get back to work. I miss you like crazy…..*sobs*, but I just gotta be a man…*straightens tie*

In a sentence, I want you to know, God literally smiled at me by bringing you into my life, I love every bit of you (even ur being naughty & pouting) with
every fiber of my being, I promise to nurture you with all I am and all I’ll ever be.

I celebrate you my Queen….so honored to be your Man.

God Bless you real good.

Your Boo…..

GABBATHA – John 19:13

The pavement, stone place, the raised place, the elevated place, the knoll….
Depending on which language, Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek, the interpretation varies.
However, one thing that remains is what happened at Gabbatha, it was location of the Roman tribunal,
The place where Pontius Pilate condemned our Lord Jesus to death.
The Jewish mob thought they had influenced Pilate to determine Jesus’ destiny
Pilate must have thought…This man’s life is in my hands, his blood on my head.

Little did they all know…….
That they were all pawns on the Most High’s chessboard…
…Actors & Actresses in Jehovah’s script.
…Elements in the master strategist’s unique plot.
The devil must have been gloating, the demons must have been rejoicing.
Little did they know……
..That even at their best, when hatching out their deeds of destruction,
They remain tools in the Hands of our Sovereign God

Similarly, we need to understand and be at peace with the fact that…
Whatever policies the kings of this world effect,
Whatever decisions they take, while seating on “their thrones”, arrogant on their Gabbatha
Thinking they hold in their hands the “fate” of many
We, the righteous children of God need know that….
..Like Pilate and the Jewish mob were tools in God’s hands to fulfill God’s purpose for Jesus.
These policies, decisions etc are coming in place “to fulfill God’s purpose for us”
After all, “all (good, bad & ugly) things work together for good, to them that love God, who are called according to His purpose”

Eureka!!!

Life is in phases and men are in sizes,
As you move up in life, the juice..
..of your true priority oozes
Former passions simmer into a mild snooze
And acknowledging your true needs, refreshes you like a breeze...

TDH (Tall, Dark & Handsome) is what Hollywood
sinks down the throat of ladies...
But, of what good is a "bloke" who doesn't give God His place
He's nothing but a well crafted bloke who's buttons are flipped by Lucifer.

Curves are appealing, no doubt.....
Beauty is enticing, that's a fact...
But the only wise One says....A woman that fears the Lord...
she shall be praised
Also, like a ring is in the nose of a pig, is a gorgeous lady
without discretion.

Come to think of it...
The facts/"truths" which determine our decisions,
Are they transient or permanent?
How do they affect our eternity/?
Truth be told, there is a life beyond "here"
No one, leaves this terrestrial plane alive
(It is appointed for man to die once)

Eureka!!! It's finally dawned....
It's destiny suicide to make a permanent decision
based on a temporary situation
Like choosing a life partner based on "her curves" or "the ride he drives"
The curves will sag! and the ride will become old!

Like my priest says..3 decisions determine your eternity
Who you serve (Salvation)
Who you marry (Spouse)
Where you worship (Church)

Eureka!!......It's finally dawned...

Still, I remain... In fact..still, I rise...

Thought I was hit with the worst shot ever.
Bruised faith, dented ego, health becoming a fever.
Musin', Broodin' wonderin' if I'll ever get better.

Then came the news that I had lost my father...*jeez*
Plus Venus biddin' "so long", wishin' things coulda' been brighter
I was fallin', trippin, thinkin' could  the pit ever get deeper'

And right from the throne came a word...
Sayin' "Just trust me and I'll surround you with mercy"
Well I did, and this is my story.....

Scared of the magnitude of my purpose,
The enemy tried to distract me with numerous (disguised) woes
Dose after dose, my resolve almost came to a close.

But in the midst of the darkness, despair and gloom
His love, His grace and mercy made me bloom.
Now I'm stronger and in my journey, nothing like doom.

Every morning, on my knees by my bedside
Asking the Holy Spirit, for grace and divine hindsight
Drawing on the prayers from my priest and his foresight.

At last I broke free, and realised 'twas a set up for my promotion.
The season of losing heart, weight and my smiles was preparation for validation
The darkness had to flee and I now I dwell in illumination.

Finally, I acknowledge, I see the purpose in the pain.
He'll always put the patriarch through the "wine press " for divinity's gain
Now another page has been written in my chronicles still, I remain

Despite it all , still, I remain...
Despite the great explanations and heartache, still, I remain.
In-spite of a lotta things I can't explain, still, I remain.....

Still, I remain, my place before Him, no man will take.
His grace upon me, no one can replace
Yo' devil......I didn't lose my place nor my praise

Still, I remain, In fact, still, I rise....

PS:
Once again you lost enemy....* tongue out*
Praise God!

A letter to my Grandma.

Dear Grandma,

It’s been close to ten years since you left

Didn’t know a day would come when I’ll wish you never left.

Considering that I didn’t cry when we were paying respects

Knowing I had your back & I was there for you in all aspects.

Well, this morning, I had a plate of spicy eggs before me

Then I remember ‘tis as a result of your recipe

Spicy eggs, deep fried chicken & turkey

Greens & all, just to eat healthy

Grandma, I still remember your prayers for my children and wifey

You promised to hold my kids and teach my queen  unique trad receipes

Well, it’s close to a decade since you said all those, I ain’t married ‘yet’

And ‘ma I wish you were here to hear me read this prose:

I desire to hold my son in my arms at night,

Crooning in his ears, petting him to sleep,

Right after his mum finishes nursing him

We taking turns at night to sing him to sleep

I wanna take my daughter and her lovely mum to the salon,

Just after I loose my lil’ angel’s braids &

I retouch my diva wife’s hair

(I hope I won’t hurt her scalp cos I ain’t no hair pro’)

Granny, I wanna wake up at midnight and…

Sit for hours staring at my beautiful wife sleeping with

Our adorable baby cuddled up in her arms.

Then I look up with a face glistened with tears of gratitude…..

Thanking God whose Words are daily coming to pass in my life.

Granny, I wish you were here to join my faith with yours…..

The possibilities that abound with Venus are limitless.

All of a sudden, I’m willing to learn the fundamentals of friendship

Intuitively, I want to go to the A,B, Cs of …

Building something of eternal value…

All over again, I’m learning how to love,

How to be patient, how to be accountable , how to be obedient to instructions

Faithfully learning and practicing all these

Cos the ‘pattern’ is to build heaven on earth - Psalm128.

Granny are these odds against me?

Or are they catalysts to spur me on?

Well, I choose to hold on to His faithfulness.

After all, it’s only through faith & patience

Am I assured of obtaining the promise.

So long Grand Ma, wish you were here.

Venus

There’s something gentle about your voice

That makes my eyes go moist.

Creates a lump in my throat and my heart swells

Initiates the knight in me, beside u to dwell

I look to God & confess it is well

Cos if it His will, I’ll hear the bells

XOXO

Breathless

What do you do about someone you meet and the encounter refreshes you, sparks up your creativity and opens before you vistas of possibilities....

What do you do?...What do I do ...

I get it off my chest by writing....

BREATHLESS

I almost gave up on the venus race
I felt there was no such combo as beauty (soul & physical) & brains
With a dash of deep love for God and a reasonable grace.
But right now I sense it, He's bringing me into a phase
Where in space, all day, face - to - face, she & I are on the same page

I feel my heart flutter with a spring in my step.
I know my eyes glitter so i write with my pen
I sense I'm going deeper in this garden - like den

I thought fairy tales didn't exist
That picture - perfect chemistry ain't real
But ...Help me Lord, I sense a deep connection
Abba, you are pulling the strings again

There's a peace I feel, there's a calmness in my soul
There's a pix I see, a reality of heaven on earth
Lost for words.....But the question on my lips is...
All my life....where have you been because ...
Tho'it aint long since we really met.

Seems like I've known you forever and finally
....you diva got me Breathless...

Breathless

PREVIOUS MUSINGS....

Some musings of mine.....in times past (forgot to put 'em up)

JUST WONDERING ....(July 25th, 2011)

You don't have a champion that has not been challenged.

It's overcoming the challenge that brings out the champion in you.

It is said that it's the hot water that brings out the content of the tea bag.

Honestly, it's smart to get up, dust yourself and move on after you've been knocked to the ground

But how much knockin's can one take?

Is it that life delibrately hits leaders harder than others.

Just wonderin'..........

How soon will the day break again?

When will the tide turn....to what its supposed to be?

Just wonderin.........

Just Wonderin....

MAY DAY!!!! (April 9th , 2011)

The reopened wounds of my childhood

The anguish of the absence of fatherhood

Casting a brood upon my moods

Makin me feel like i’m lost in the woods

Thought dat after these years i had healed

Now ‘tis like those years of need

When i longed for someone to lead & trim my weeds

Come around once again a’ hauntin my noble deeds

Behind the polished exterior of a gentleman

Lies the wishes of a lad whose Pa didn’t give the plan

I hurt & sometimes glisten my face with the tears

But since He’s there, i’ll let go of the fear.

GOD PASS DEM.

Knock, Knock....
Checking in again....

Alright, It's Xmas day and I'm chilling at home with a can of Pepsi and fried turkey.
Had church online : www.cozanigeria.tv. The service was brief but on point.

Well been a while peeps since I last put stuff on this wall and a lotta things have happened.
I guess one of my resolutions in 2012 will be regular blogging.

GOD PASS DEM!

It's funny how people tend to pay lip service to glaring issues in life....

I've been working in a place for close to 21 months now and I have witnessed how painfully short - sighted people can be.

I came into the system at a time when the firm was in disarray - animosity, pettiness, sharp practices etc. were the order of the day.

Like a knight in shining armour, I led a crusade of Hard Work, Professionalism, Transparency.

Coincidentally, my HOD who had served for 18 years stepped out. (retiring honourably)
I was next on line, she (HOD) had trained me well and after a lotta dilly dallying, the management directed me to step into her position as acting HOD.

A lotta beef resulted from my "promotion". But trust your boy.. I held my own, I confronted when I had to, laid low when necessary, more importantly, divine grace was at work for me.

But what pissed/pisses me off more are the "so called plans" the management say they have in store for me.....

It's been 5 months and despite the "acting allowance" they mercifully bestowed on me, my take home is still less than one - third of what my predecessor used to earn (they don't know I'm privy to this info)

In fairness to the management, they put some things in place for me - once a month supply of beverages - Milk, Tea etc - , Increase of my monthly phone airtime allocation from 1500 to 3500 or so.( ridiculous right? lol)

Dem try abi? But considering the fact that a car is attached to that position alongside some major perks - which they haven't deemed me fit to enjoy....

Well I ain't complaining, just saying 'cos I am young, that don't mean you should pay lip service to the benefits I am entitled to"

Coupled with the fact that I have been instrumental to the restoration of some values in the firm as a whole viz. professionalism, honesty, diligence, team work etc, I honestly feel I should be appreciated more than what is being done and if you ain't gonna appreciate me via my remuneration....For Chrissakes, DON'T PATRONIZE ME VIA LIP - SERVICE.

But guess what? After praying about the situation and reporting them (management) to God.

The Most High told me to stay focused, keep on keeping on and expect my reward from Him not them (management).

Guess what? I'm about to shock them BIG TIME!

All in All.....GOD PASS THEM

Stay tuned to the jaw dropping testimony......

I get the point...Lord

The Prayer - Have your way Lord may sound religious or good,
But when God is really having His way, it could be painful.
Especially when He is "circumcising" your heart, your life and attitudes.

Circumcision involves, cutting off, removing e.t.c.
In natural terms, it is NOT a pleasant experience...it involves a great deal of blood, tears, pain and endurance.

When i prayed sometime ago - Lord , have your way, i didn't know i was setting myself up for a "massive attitudinal circumcision".

I took some privileges for granted, i strutted like a prize bull with a chip on my shoulder, forgetting that God resists the proud...

Well this process has lasted for months and i can confidently say that:

I get the point...Lord

IDEAS RULE THE WORLD

From the time of the great philosopher Plato until now, Ideas have proven invaluable to humanity and the progress of the quality of life. According to The Merriam Webster dictionary ”an idea is a formulated thought or opinion”

The importance of ideas cannot be overemphasized. Every notable invention started with an idea, the best books written, the best musical pieces composed, the most effective movements and revolutions, the best speeches given can all be traced to an idea. A man’s greatest asset is his mind; therefore refusing to develop one’s mind is absolute disservice to one’s destiny because when you sow an idea or thought which develops in your mind, you reap an action, when you sow an action you reap a character, when you sow a character you reap a destiny.

Nelson Mandela had an idea which later became an ideal which he lived and was ready to die for. It was the actualization of a democratic and freely elected government. Though the idea suffered massive opposition, it initiated the birth of an apartheid – free South Africa. The idea Nelson Mandela believed in and fought for has not only liberated South Africa from oppression but also conferred on him a status that very few attain in history. He is unarguably one of the most respected personalities ever and this can be traced to a major source; the idea of a free and democratic South Africa.

Orville and Wilbur Wright, the two brothers credited with the feat of inventing and building the first ever airplane described their experience with a toy they had children as the initial spark that created their interest in flying. This spark can be referred to as ‘an idea’. The brothers nurtured this spark and the whole world is grateful to them for the aeroplane.

The statue of David in Florence, Italy is an example of the far reaching effects of ideas, the legendry sculptor, Michelangelo Buonarroti had a block of marble standing over seventeen feet high in his studio for close to twenty – five years. However, when a committee of artists of the ancient city of Florence commissioned the sculpting of this statue, the idea came into Michelangelo’s mind. While looking at an almost abandoned piece of marble, he saw with his mind the finished statue of David. This statue is the most popular of all the sculptures he worked on during his brief life, truly a statue of global recognition.

It is worthy to note however that a lot of people treat ideas with levity, they scorn inspirations and thoughts that if valued could generate millions monetarily. Many people fail to understand that money, people, power and generations answer to men who think up and cultivate ideas.

In conclusion, the popular “spark of genius” or “waoh effect” that a lot of organizations nations and institutions seek is simply a great idea that any disciplined mind can generate. How I wish that my active, fast – paced, impatient, present day Nigerian youth would slow down, be still and stir up some stupendous world – changing ideas after the order of Philip Emegweali the father of the internet.

Wetin b ur Nomba? (What is your Number)

I was returning from Ilesha where I had gone to give moral and spiritual support to 2 friends who had lost their father.

We journeyed down the IbadanIfe Highway and along the high way we came across nothing less than 4 checkpoints manned by mobile policemen “armed to the teeth”.

Some of these checkpoints are legal while some aren’t, legal in the sense that they serve the purpose of monitoring the speed of motorists and also stopping and searching suspicious vehicles / drivers for smuggled/ banned goods.

The illegal points however are simply “unauthorized extortion posts” for shameless policemen who have gotten their priorities WRONG.

Well we journeyed further, got to Ibadan and accessed the LagosIbadan Highway and surprisingly, there were no illegal checkpoints along that road. I thought inside me “maybe there’s hope after all”

My positivity was short lived because, alas, we arrived Lagos and I had to get a bus to my crib (Eric Moore Rd) from Ojuelegba Bus Stop.

What alarmed me was not the number of illegal check points (2) between Adeniran Ogunsanya and Bode Thomas (a brief distance of 200m)

What disappointed me was not the bumpy, pot hole – ridden surface that characterised the aforementioned roads.

What really pissed me off was the audacity, credibility & stupidity with which these shameless, armed men of the Nigerian Police were demanding for money from the commercial bus drivers.

If any driver attempted to drive by, a mobile policeman was sure to raise his rifle, cock it and attempt to shoot if he did not stop “to pay his debt“ (There have been cases of policemen shooting commercial transporters over refusal to consent to extortion)

Along Adeniran Ogunsanya, the dude driving the bus I sat in told his conductor “ Go give am 100 naira, make you collect nomba”. I was still trying to figure that out when we approached Bode Thomas and a policeman jumped in front of our cruising vehicle brandishing his gun asking “Wetin be your Nomba , Wetin be your Nomba” The driver and his conductor quickly answered thus, he let us go.

Therefore, questions arose in my head.

Do these policemen understand "dignity in labour" at all?

Were the guns purchased by the government to protect the citizens or to harass them?

What if any of these policemen was my brother, father, uncle e.t.c. How would I describe this undignified conduct of his to him?

The policemen give various excuses ranging from low salaries, late payment to rising cost of living for their actions.

I do not concur, I choose to believe that they (bribe collectors & extortionists) have gotten their priorities wrong. I think it is a mindset issue, there is no difference between the shameless policeman at the illegal checkpoint and the bribe – collecting legislators I the corridors of power or the gap – toothed, former Head of State who looted this country to the tune of billions of dollars.

Despite all these, I choose to be content with what I have, I choose to travel the narrow but legitimate way because sooner or later, a time will come that, patriotic, honest citizens will have the opportunity to lead this country and her states, parastatals, states, ministries e.t.c. until then, let us live our lives with a sense of accountability putting this in mind, we will sow what we reap and some day, GOD WILL JUDGE US ALL.

IS THIS LUV OR “HAVE I GOT IT BAD”

I had seen her once or twice before without occasion

Guess I was working thus I didn’t notice her

But even now when I “saw” her, I was working, wasn’t I?

I can’t even explain, Is this luv or Have I got it bad?

Her expressions, her choice of words, her lady – like carriage

Her piety, her attitude, her ambitions, her background, her genotype

Her humility, willingness to step into His service “a higher calling”

All these combine and even make her already beautiful self “more beautifuller “

No….The right word is EXQUISITE

I had shut my heart, built a wall (fortress around it)

Reinforced the concrete of the wall, with reasons why I should NOT be involved

But a brief glimpse at her exquisiteness melted my seemingly fortified walls.

I didn’t dat kinda love yet, I had concluded,,,,,,

Physically, it is said that if u wanna know if a woman is really beautiful,

U need to see her when she is just waking up

Well, I did see her early in the morning right after she woke up

And she looked like a rare flower about to fully bloom.

I coulda sworn that we exchanged glances intermittently and sparks flew.

I wanna bet the chemistry exists, cos though its been a while ,I felt them butterflies

Also, one to many times, I think I caught her looking/ glancing at me

Is there a possibility that, Is this the real thingy,

The discussion was brief, but I bet the connection was deep.

Okay Lord, what do I do?

Have I got it bad or is this love?

All I ask is before u sink this wall to its foundations, is ; please Lord

Give me a Word…………….P – L- E – A –S - E

HRH Sam

An angel read to me,
On a warm sultry nite....
Though she was far away in the cold of ATL
While i was in the tropical region of Lagos.

The clear voice and distinct pronunciation
could compare to that of a queen.
infact, it belonged to a queen

the sweetness of her laughter and tingling of her giggles
made her vocal chords more and more desirable
The consistent interuption of a naughty but lovely sister
made the reading more interesting.

Definitely, my sleep will be sweet, my rest will be pleasant
with a smile on my face will i fall asleep because i've had an angel read to me.

No, she was more than an angel, more like a queen,
Hmmmn, either angel or queen, one thing i am sure of
Sam, read with such a captivating voice, warm dignified and attractive
such that even with the distance, am still ........................

Thanks Sam, if i had to choose a queen/angel's voice ever again,
I'll choose yours.................................

You are appreciated

Analyse yourself, "Who are you really" Part 1 - You are capable

There are 3 individuals you need to deal with in you, yes you staring at the screen reading this post

1. The man others think you are.
2. The man you think you are.
3. The man you really are.

1. The man others think you are.

A lot of people think they can determine your future or destination, based on where you are coming from, truly to an extent "the further back you look, the the further foward, you may see"

However, theres nothing about the caterpillar that indicates that someday, it will be a butterfly
When Barack Obama's father was buying drinks for his friends while celebrating the birth of his little son , nothing in his wildest dreams would have indicated that the little boy yelling and "pissing" in his mother's face while his diapers were being changed, will someday sit in the Oval Office and be the a crusader of "Hope and the Possibility mentality" globally.

A lot of people want to look at where you are coming from to determine how far, you will go and the dimension of the legacy you will leave behind.

When a lie is repeatedly said , it tends to want to sound like the truth, don't let what folks think  about you define your limits, As a matter of fact, your spirit is limitless...Ask the guy who was born in an animal's feeding manger, obtained a Phd in carpentry and went into consulting for just 3 years..........2000 years later, his legacy still lives on, do you know who i am talking about?

Prove them wrong!!! Folks cannot limit you without YOUR consent. They only think, they don't  know who you are. To know who you are , ask your creator, He says you are  "A Creative Masterpiece, you can achieve anything"

You, yes you reading, you are capable of acheiving ANYTHING, someone like you invented that keyboard you are typing on, the phone you just finished a call on was "thought up"  like you, stop wasting time .............get off your b&** and do SOMETHING

The worst thing that can happen to you ... is live your life like a snake moving on a rock (it leaves no trace). MAKE YOUR LIFE COUNT. Give people a tangible reason to miss you........
